Sub-10 Seconds in 100 meter Sprint...Briton's brought laurels. Adam Gemili and Asher Smith shined out.

The craze for the goal of surpassing the 10-seconds mark in a 100 meters sprint is not new with the athletes around the world. This is thought of as a hallmark for a good sprinter in the past. Although now the crave to achieve this has gone somewhat down in the minds of runners but still their are places and events for this. Recently Adam Gemili, a British Sprinter did the same in Birmingham and succeeded very well clocking a time of 9.97 seconds, to become the first Briton to accomplish this. Adam got into the Sprinting career some time back in 2011. Previously he played Football and has been playing in the Youth Academy(Chelsea).

This was is first attempt for the sub-10 seconds in 100 m. Since being a young guy of 21 years, this achievement is a lot more  impressive. He surpassed the 200 m as well during the same run under 20 seconds target but grasped tightly his leg afterwards because of an injury in the hamstring and left on a wheelchair. American runner Marvin Bracy stood first during the event and Adam was just behind him.

Adam said: I felt my hamstring go as I dipped, but I'm in good spirits. He also praised the Britinsh Sprinting that is sprouting quite quickly.

Well that is an obvious thing that accomplishing one's goal he/she, has got ample amount of happiness than to worry about the injury. Our good-wishes are also with him so that he comes back more fit and witty.

These days, British sprinters are doing quite well as Asher Smith, 19 year old completed the 200 m mark to be the second quickest British Women. She was happy when asked about the same and said that she was just in liieu of getting to her own personal best, and since he has finished third for the same and that too in 22.30 second was a thing out of this world for her.
