Germany vs France, UEFA Euro 2016 France

That's what happens when two big bulls duel for Goal. France who made their way to the semi-finals defeating iceland was the host this time and they had almost the whole stadium cheering for them. Germany even possessing the ball for almost 70% of the time, was not able to pierce the defence of France. Their "passing the ball" spell couldn't churn that nicely as it does during Germany vs Italy.
Maybe it was the sturdy formation, that caused Germany to lose.

Germany was all over the France, since the game start. The rapid attempts left everyone believing that Germany would probably win. But the penalty for handling the ball inside the box by Bastian Schweinsteiger, helped Antoine Griezmann of France scoring the first goal in a match that was earlier believed may settle by penalties. Griezmann scored first goal(45 + 2 min) in the extra time after the first half.

Second half was all about equalizing for Germany but in doing so they loosened their defence and were also deprived of the solid defence they had of Boateng(Germany), when he was injured and was eventually replaced by Mufti(Germany) who scored in the opening match against Ukraine.

Mishandling the ball in their own box lead one more goal against Germany by Griezmann (72 min) despite the extreme efforts of Manuel Neuer(German goalkeeper). Now the score 2-0 (France - Germany) inclined the match towards the host. Audience was responding and Griezmann, the right person at the right place who did both the goals, snatched the match right off Germany's hands.

Now it was all about the defence for France and Germany as always kept on trying to equalize but somehow the ball, to their bad luck either hit the sides of the goalpost or went completely over it. After 90 + 4 extra minutes, France finally entered the Finals of UEFA Euro 2016, France to face Portugal on Sunday.
