Running with SPIKES.

Well all the teen age runners. Here are some of the things you should take care of while using Spikes for running. This is the starter pack to make your mindset towards how to use a run with spikes. If used properly these shoes can make you run faster, with a better pace and without getting off the track.

Below listed are the Directions to use spikes:

  1. Always use them on the race track.
  2. Choose spikes according to the race for which they are required whether 100 to 400 mtrs or more than that. (Actually short sprints usually require more work by the toes so more spike area is there in the shoes for the same and eventually there is less amount of flat heel area)
  3. You can take help about choosing the right shoe from some professional runner/trainer or from the seller itself.
  4. Now start the workout and wear the shoes with a pair of socks for comfort and breathe-ability.
  5. now tightly fit the screws provided with the shoes.
  6. Now start running. At first you will feel like over straining your toes, but then after some days of practice you will get use to it.
  7. Now practice having lesser contact of the heal with the ground and learn to land on mid-foot.
  8. So just get use to your shoes by practicing them for at least a week or two and then you can try out them in a professional competition without any hesitation.
  9. Have timely inspection of the screws for wear and tear and replace them at and when required for a better experience.
Note: While beginning to use spikes firstly use old screws as the new ones maybe sharp and may turn out to be risky. While the old screws if you can manage somehow will help you tryout running with spikes with lesser chances of injury so ask for old screws from elder sportsmen in the ground and just concentrate on your goal towards running without any worry.
